About

milehimodern
Michelle Barbour has represented buyers and sellers in Boulder County since 1999.
Raised on a horse ranch in Boulder County, Michelle developed an early understanding of land, property and the responsibilities that come with ownership. That background continues to inform her work today, particularly when evaluating properties with acreage, outbuildings, water rights, wells, septic systems and other considerations that extend beyond the house itself.
Her perspective has also been shaped by a life and career well beyond Colorado. Michelle began her studies in Fine Arts before earning a degree in Organizational Communication from Arizona State University and studying at the University of London. Early in her career, she worked at Esprit de Corps headquarters in San Francisco, where her interest in design, architecture and the relationship between people and their environments continued to develop. She later lived and worked in Seoul and Singapore. After returning from abroad, Michelle worked in account management for Marriott Hotels in Boulder before beginning her real estate career in 1999.
Michelle began her real estate career alongside her mother, a respected Boulder County agent. Working together gave her a strong foundation in the fundamentals that still guide her business today: listen carefully, understand the details, continue learning and put the client's interests first.
Over the years, Michelle has developed a deep understanding of Boulder County and the many factors that can influence a real estate decision, from neighborhood and architecture to land use, property condition, market dynamics and long-term value. She is known for being thorough, steady and candid, helping clients understand both the opportunities and the potential complications of a property before making a decision.
She is thorough and direct. Good representation means asking the right questions, saying what she sees, and making sure clients have enough information to decide.
Michelle is also an investor, which shapes how she looks at value and long-term ownership. Whether she is representing a buyer or a seller, the work is the same: stay in the details and look out for the client.
Outside of real estate, Michelle enjoys the Colorado lifestyle she grew up with, including hiking, trail running, skiing and spending time in the mountains.

How I work
I do the work myself, from the first conversation through closing. You see the price, the offers, and the inspection as they come in. After the keys change hands, you still call me.
